The Land Trust's Work
In 2006 the Land Trust Board of Trustees approved an ambitious program of land protection. With the completion of the West Watsonville Slough project, we will have protected more than 1,700 acres of land since that time, including farmland, rare Sandhills habitat, redwood forests and wetlands. We will have raised more than $26 million in state, federal, and foundation grants to fund these projects – and more $2 million in community support.
