Moore Creek Walk

Sandhills WalkSandhills Wildflower Walk,
Saturday, April 18, 2009, 10a-noon
.
A short walk, but strenuous in places, through a steep ravine and uphill.  Area can be hot and there is little shade.  There is poison oak along the trail.  But you get views, rare wildflowers, and a great tour of this unique habitat by guide Jodi McGraw. 

Moore Creek Sunset Walk,
Sunday, May 24, 2009, 5pm to 7pm
.
Located above Natural Bridges, this 200 acre preserve is one of Santa Cruz's best kept secrets.  You'll see views all the way to Monterey, marvelous old oaks, and the steep canyon formed by Moore Creek.  Moderate uphill 3-mile walk.

Byrne-Milliron Forest Walk,  
Saturday, June 27, 2009, 10am-noon.

Moderate 5 mile walk along fire and logging roads.  Get a first hand view of sustainable timber harvests and a spectacular view of the Pajaro Valley and Monterey Bay.
