Volunteer Day at our Morgan Sandhills Preserve

Hello Wonderful Land Trust Volunteers!

We are excited to offer you an opportunity to get out on one of our closed propertiesRandall Morgan Sandhills Preserve.

On October 26thwe are returning to a patch of Portuguese broom that we’ve been pulling for 4 years. It is in the highest quality sandhills habitat on the preserve – a real treat to see. I hope you can join us.


Here are the details:

WHEN: Sunday, October 26th 2014

TIME: 9am to Noon

WHERE: End of Geyer Road, Scotts Valley.

DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 17, take the Mt. Hermon Exit. Go west through town on Mt. Hermon Rd. Just as you leave town, turn right (north) on Lockhart Gulch Rd. Veer to the left at the Y. Take first left on Geyer Rd. The preserve entrance is at the end of the road.

BRING: Gloves, water bottle and lunch, if you wish

WEAR: Layered clothing and sturdy shoes. Consider rain gear, sunscreen and a hat, depending on the weather.

WE WILL PROVIDE: A jug of water to refill your bottles and snacks.
